Following the completion of master of business administration degree (MBA) programs, graduates begin the sometimes difficult job search. Fortunately, many institutions provide these individuals with a chance to get a head start on this process while they are still in school.
For example, Northwestern University, Michigan State University, Purdue University, the University of Notre Dame and several other schools will take part in this year's MIdwest MBA Career Fair. The event, which is made possible with help from the National Society of Hispanic MBAs and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne's College of Business, is scheduled to take place on October 21 in Chicago.
Business degree students who attend the event will have an opportunity to speak to representatives from some of the Midwest's top companies. In addition to growing their professional networks, these individuals can also interview onsite.
"Bringing these schools together gives our partner companies a tremendous pool of talent in one location," said Ron Watkins, assistant dean at the University of Illinois. "Our students will benefit tremendously from this opportunity to connect with many of the best employers in the marketplace."
